Introduce travel tracking apps and services to replace Significant Locations
Timeline function on the Google Maps application
The Timeline function on the Google Maps application is a feature that allows users to view their daily activity history within the application.
You can see detailed information on the map, such as travel history and the times you visited places, so you can use the map in the same way as Significant Locations.
It also accurately identifies the means of transportation, such as car, train, and walking. In addition, you can use it as a record of your activities with peace of mind, as it is private to everyone but yourself.
How to use and set up Google Maps Timeline
First, open up Google Maps. Be careful not to mix up the “Google Maps” and “Maps” applications.
There is a big difference because the Maps app is not tied to an Apple ID, whereas the Google Maps app collects personal location data using a Google account.
Before using the Timeline, check the Settings.
Open the Google Maps application and tap the icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Select “Personal Content.”
Make sure Location Services and Location History are on (if they are off, tap to turn them on).
Once the above settings are set, your activity history should be recorded automatically.
Next, check the “Timeline” to see a history of your travels.
Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select Timeline.
You will then be able to see your previous travel history, the places you visited, and even your travel routes!
Frankly, we recommend it over Significant Locations because it gives you a more detailed history of your activity!
Zenly’s Footprint function
Zenly is becoming a common everyday app, especially among young people.
It has become a hot topic as a GPS sharing application that allows users to easily check location information.
In addition to sharing location information, the system also has the ability to record your own activity history.
In addition to showing the range and route of your trips on the map, it also shows a ranking of the number of times you have visited a place.
Of course, you can record your own activities privately.
How to Set Up iPhone Voice Isolation & What to Do if You Can’t Get it Set Up.
Microphone mode (Voice Isolation) is a feature that was implemented with iOS 15.
It shuts out all sounds and voices except your own, making it a useful feature for meetings in town or when working from home.
Note, however, that microphone modes cannot be used for regular calls made over a phone line or on Discord.
Microphone mode can be used for LINE, Slack, Zoom, Google Meet and others.
How to set the microphone mode
Put simply, microphone mode is not something set in advance.
The microphone mode can be only set during a call.
The following is a step-by-step procedure with images to set the microphone mode during a call.
Swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen during a call to bring up the Control Center
Tap the microphone mode
Tap Voice Isolation and you are done!
Now, “Voice Isolation and wide spectrum are currently unavailable.” may be displayed on the screen, the following content explains how to deal with the situation.
What to do when “Voice isolation and wide spectrum are currently unavailable.” is displayed
If you see “Voice isolation and wide spectrum are currently unavailable.” or if you cannot find the microphone mode in the Control Center, check the following three things.
Is your iPhone updated to iOS 15 or higher?
Are the earphones or speakers connected or turned on?
Are you making a call using a phone line?
It seems many people confused about the reason why they cannot use the microphone mode is that they try to set it up without confirming their earphone or speaker connections.
There are three microphone modes
In addition to “Voice isolation,” there are two other microphone modes: “Standard mode” and “Wide-spectrum mode.”
A mode that shuts out sounds and other voices besides your own. This is useful when you hear noise in the city or when you work from home and your family’s voices can be heard.
There will be no correction and the call can be made normally. Standard mode is selected by default.
This mode picks up all sounds heard during a call. Recommended when you want the other person to hear the sounds around you, such as ambient noise and music. Note: Cannot be used in combination with earphones.
Set the settings according to your own call usage.
